What areas do you serve?
Serving the Colorado Springs Metro Area and surrounding areas from Fountain to Castle Rock, Woodland Park to Falcon, Monument, Palmer Lake and Perry Park (see map). Additionally, we’ve partnered with ReloCrate Denver and together we can facilitate your move north including crate pick-up in Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins, etc. (see map).
Is there a fee for last minute orders?
No. As long as we have availability, we'll do our best to fit you into our schedule at no extra charge. For these requests, the best way to check is to call or email us directly.
How far in advance do I need to schedule my pick-up?
A pick-up date is set when you place your order but if for any reason you need to change it, please give us at least a 48-hours' notice so we can fit you into our schedule.
Does Not A Box deliver inside my home?
No. We are a door-to-door delivery service. We'll drop off your items at the nearest accessible point outside your home or apartment—like your driveway, garage, or front door. We do not carry items inside.
What if I need to cancel my order?
You can receive a full refund on any order canceled at least 24 hours in advance. For cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, a $25 fee will be applied to small orders and a $50 fee will be applied to large orders. If you need to cancel an order after the designated delivery date/time, please call us at 844.668.2269 and we will do our best to find an appropriate solution.
Do you offer long-term rentals?
Absolutely! If you need the crates for more than our standard rental period, just give us a call or email. We'll be happy to provide a custom quote for your long-term needs.
What if I ordered too many crates?
Unfortunately we do not offer any refunds for unused rental materials.
Do I need to be present for delivery and pickup?
Yes. We ask that you or another adult be there for both drop-off and pickup.
What happens if I miss my scheduled delivery/pickup?
We understand that circumstances might change which prevent you from being available during your designated drop-off or pick-up window. If we attempt to make a delivery or pickup and you (or an authorized person over the age of 18) is not present, we will contact you and attempt to reschedule your delivery/pickup for a fee.
Are the crates clean and sanitized?
Absolutely. After each use, our crates go through a rigorous cleaning process. They are first washed to remove any dirt and debris, then sanitized with an EPA-approved disinfectant to ensure they are safe and hygienic for your move.
Do I need tape or other supplies?
Forget the hassle of packing tape and extra supplies. We make your move easier by including a complimentary packing kit with your crate rental, featuring packing paper, bubble wrap, and chalk pens for easy labeling.
How many crates can I stack?
To ensure a safe and secure workspace, follow these guidelines when stacking crates: • Always place crates on a level and stable surface. • Do not stack crates with closed lids higher than five crates. • Do not stack nested crates higher than 20 crates. • Do not stack crates where doing so would block your line of sight and create a trip/fall hazard. • Do not overload crates beyond their visible capacity or the maximum weight of 50 lbs for safe manual lifting.
Are the crates environmentally friendly?
Yes. Our reusable crates can be used up to 400 times, significantly reducing the waste associated with single-use cardboard boxes. We also turn old crates into plastic flakes to be used in the manufacturing of new crates so there's no waste whatsoever.
Can I use the crates for a long-distance move?
It depends on your definition of long-distance. We serve the Colorado Springs Metro area and its surroundings, from Fountain to Castle Rock and Woodland Park to Falcon, including Monument, Palmer Lake, and Perry Park. Additionally, we’ve partnered with ReloCrate Denver to facilitate moves north, including Denver, Boulder, and Fort Collins.
How does this work?
Our process is super simple. • Place your order • We deliver crates, dollies to you • You pack, stack and move • We pick-up the crates and dollies once you’ve unpacked in your new spot
How far in advance do I need to book?
To ensure we can meet your needs, we recommend booking 3 to 5 business days ahead of time. You can check real-time availability on the booking section of our website. For last-minute requests, please contact us directly by email or phone.
What if I want to extend my rental?
No problem! Just give us a call or email before your pickup date to let us know how long you'd like to extend your rental. We'll simply charge you our additional week rate for each extra week you need the crates.
Are packing materials included?
Yes! Each rental package includes the following complimentary packing materials: • 2.5 lbs of packing paper • 5 feet of bubble wrap • Chalk pens to label your crates
You can also easily add more materials as needed to your order during the booking process for an additional fee.
What if I have stairs?
For deliveries that require our team to go up or down stairs, a $10 fee per flight will be applied. This fee is waived if you choose to carry the boxes up or down yourself. Please indicate whether you need assistance during the checkout process.
How do I pay?
We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Payment is due at the time of booking. For unexpected extensions, we will charge your card on file for the additional rental period.
What if I run out of crates?
Don't worry if you underestimate how many crates you need! If you find yourself needing more, we can deliver additional crates for a $25 delivery fee plus the cost of the additional crates, pending availability.
When will the crates arrive/be picked up?
We will do our best to get your crates and dollies to you within the two-hour delivery window you've selected. Should any unexpected delays occur—like those caused by bad weather or traffic—we will contact you immediately to keep you updated.
Is there a delivery or pickup fee?
Delivery and pickup are free within our designated Free Delivery Zone (see map). For deliveries outside of this area, an additional fee will be charged. Please refer to the map to see if you are within our free delivery zone.
How big are the crates?
Each standard crate is 27” x 17’ x 12’ which is equivalent to a large cardboard box... the perfect size for your move. Our crates are the perfect size for moving everything from every room including clothes, dishes, books and other household items.
What if I need long-term storage?
We've got you covered. You can easily order cardboard boxes, tape, and other packing supplies directly from our website's supply section.
What if a crate is lost or damaged?
If Equipment is lost or damaged beyond reasonable repair while in the possession or control of the Customer, the Customer shall be liable to pay the replacement value of such Equipment in accordance with the Company’s current replacement list (see terms of service).
Do you offer moving services?
We provide the crates, but we don't do the moving! While NotABox is a crate rental company, not a full-service mover, we can recommend a professional moving service to help you.
If I move outside the approved delivery zone, can I return the crates myself?
